1st Virginia CMSA is dedicated to providing a fun, safe experience for Cowboy Mounted Shooters of all ages! We offer clinics for new shooters, connections to professional trainers in your area, and family friendly CMSA competitions throughout the year.

Cowboy Mounted Shooting offers something for all ages. For ages up to 12, we have the wrangler program where competitors ride the course or are led through it.  The advanced wranglers ride the courses and address each target with a toy or empty gun. Competition levels for shooters are from one to six split into gender and senior (50 and above).  Rifle, shotgun and cavalry are split divisionally as Limited (levels 1-3) and Open (levels 4-6).

Spectators are always welcome to attend events at no charge. You will find competitors in this sport to be welcoming, friendly, and happy to answer any questions you have.
